I.How to adjust the hardness?

(1) Boost vinyl content and add silicone.

The hardness of silicone raw materials is mainly to add different components of vinyl and silicone resin, silicone oil, silica, and other materials fusion. Improving the content of vinyl is mainly to improve the tightness of the silicone chain (at the same time need to consume different components of silicone black, it is mainly to see how many degrees of hardness you need) vinyl is mainly the silicon chain fusion fine to get more crystals and improve its degree of connection to improve the hardness, and the limit is 90 degrees. At present, there is no better way to improve the hardness of silicone rubber products' raw materials!



(2) Adding higher hardness of raw materials for mixing

Through the original hardness of the mixed silicone rubber at the same time adding higher hardness of mixing raw materials, such as the hardness of 30 glue suppose to get 50 degrees, 70 degrees can be added into the ratio of raw materials to achieve the hardness of 50 degrees, and the measured precision and hardness materials are needed in the process of adding the same weight, as follows:

1. Adjustment formula of high hardness of silicone compound (measured hardness value - required hardness value)÷(required hardness value - low hardness value)× weight of compound = weight of low hardness compound to be added.

2. The adjustment formula of the low hardness of silica gel compound (required hardness value - measured hardness value)÷(high hardness value - measured hardness value)× weight of compound = weight of high hardness compound to be added.

Silicone raw material added vulcanizing agent is generally used within 24 hours. A long time part of the vulcanizing agent will evaporate, the effect is not so good within 24 hours if more than 24 hours after you can only be remixed to use.

II.The Way to Hardness Food Grade Silicone:

Food-grade liquid silicone can add the right amount of silicone oil in silicone with a proportion of 5%-10%. If adding too much silicone oil,  the tension of the silicone will be affected. Or you can use silicone, that is to say, with low hardness silicone mixed in high hardness silicone, so the hardness of silicone will be neutralized! This method has no effect on the performance of silicone.
